Welcome, Encouragers! In October we celebrate pastor appreciation. Will you be making a card for yours? Today I have a poem to share for such a purpose! There will be a button which will allow you to download it below.
This poem was written for a minister I was learning under in 2018, but I have shared it with other precious preachers, too. Each one has their own style and teaches from their own angle. How blessed we are to have free access to God’s Word and the ability to gather and learn from these great men of God! So, here’s the poem:
The sword phrase is a reference from scripture:
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12 And Ephesians 6:17 actually calls the Word of God the sword of the Spirit.
If you would like to share this poem with your pastor, I have made it available to use in your handmade cards. By clicking the button below, you can download a single page pdf file, which includes four copies of the sentiment for you to print.
If you find value in what you find here, please share my blog with other card makers and encouragers you know. And to be informed when new blog posts are published, follow Sharing Sentiments on Facebook. Thank you for all you do to add joy, encouragement, and blessings to the lives of those around you! Blessings! -Cathy
